About Kathy Barnitz

I'm Kathy Barnitz, a passionate small business owner with over 20 years of experience and a dedicated realtor for the past 13 years. My journey began as an electronic technician in northern California before I made the move to Michigan over 25 years ago. I continue to discover new pleasures in southwest Michigan, where I've built a fulfilling career and a vibrant life.

I love spending time outdoors, whether it's bicycling, hiking, or camping. I cherish the moments I share visiting my children and grandchildren in Southern California. Cooking is another one of my passions —I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and sharing meals with family and friends. In addition to my work in real estate, I am actively involved in my community, serving on the board of directors at the Portage Senior Center, and I'm a member of the Science Club. I also contribute to the United Way and am a proud member of Professionals Focused on Aging and Professional Entrepreneurs Advancing Kalamazoo. I serve on the Antwerp Township tax tribunal as well as working at the polls at election time.

I’m married to Nick Barnitz, who recently retired as a Structural Engineer. Together we enjoy traveling and exploring new places.My love for gardening keeps me grounded, and I take great joy In landscaping work as well as a vegetable garden.
